Suspected Indian Citizen Arrested in Westridge Rawalpindi
RAWALPINDI: Police in Rawalpindi have arrested a suspicious man in the Westridge area who identified himself as an Indian citizen.
According to Punjab Police, the arrest was made near Chohar Chowk during routine patrol. Officers noticed the suspect heading toward Dhamial; upon seeing police, he became nervous and attempted to turn back, prompting his detention.
During questioning, the man failed to produce valid identification documents. He identified himself as Dalir Mushtaq, son of Mushtaq Ahmed Sufi, and admitted to being an Indian national.
Police recovered two ballpoint pens and Rs1,750 in cash from his possession. A case has been registered under the Foreigners Act, and relevant agencies have been informed for further investigation.
