Deadly Blast Near Lakki Marwat Police Station Kills Nine, Dozens Injured

Lakki Marwat witnessed a deadly explosion near the Naurang police station on Tuesday, leaving at least nine people dead and more than 20 injured, police officials said.

According to District Police Officer Nazir Khan, the blast took place near a rickshaw in Naurang Bazaar and caused severe damage to nearby shops and vehicles. Two traffic police personnel were also among those killed in the attack.

Hospital officials confirmed that women and children were among the injured, while an emergency was declared at Sarai Naurang Hospital to treat the victims.

Police said a vehicle carrying more than one maund of explosives was used in the blast. Authorities are investigating whether the explosion was a suicide attack or remotely detonated.

Shehbaz Sharif and Sohail Afridi condemned the attack and ordered immediate investigations into the incident.
