Bus Hostess Alleges R@pe in Rawalpindi Hotel After Accepting Lift

RAWALPINDI: A bus hostess has alleged that she was sexually assaulted at a hotel in the Pirwadhai area of Rawalpindi, after which police registered a case and began an investigation.

The victim belongs to Layyah district and works with different bus companies. She had gone to her hometown on leave and was returning to Rawalpindi on Sunday night.

She stated in the FIR that due to road closures, she had to get off the bus at Tarnol. From there, she contacted a man named Ashraf, who gave her a lift and dropped her near Gilani Hotel in the Pirwadhai area before leaving.

Feeling extremely tired, she rented a room in the hotel to rest. After some time, there was a knock on the door. When she opened it, the suspect allegedly forced his way into the room, covered her mouth, and made her inhale a substance that caused her to lose consciousness.

She alleged that the man assaulted her while she was unconscious and later fled the scene. The victim also claimed she suffered injuries on different parts of her body.

Police have registered the case and are conducting raids to arrest the accused. Authorities say the investigation is ongoing, while the victim’s identity has been kept confidential
