Field Marshal Asim Munir Holds Key Defence Talks with Bahrain and Lebanon Military Chiefs

Pakistan Armed Forces Receive Praise for Professionalism and Modernisation
The commander of Bahrain's National Guard, General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Isa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, has praised Pakistan's Armed Forces for their important role in maintaining regional peace and stability.
During his visit to Pakistan, the Bahraini military leader held separate meetings with Field Marshal Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, as well as the chiefs of the Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Air Force.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), discussions focused on regional security, defence cooperation, and ways to further strengthen military ties between Pakistan and Bahrain.
Talks at General Headquarters
At the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, Field Marshal Asim Munir and General Shaikh Mohammad discussed matters of mutual interest and opportunities for greater defence and security cooperation.
Both leaders expressed satisfaction over the strong and friendly relationship between Pakistan and Bahrain and emphasized the need to expand military collaboration, training programs, and capacity-building initiatives.
The Bahraini commander praised the professionalism and operational readiness of Pakistan's Armed Forces and acknowledged their contribution to peace and stability in the region.
Meetings with Navy and Air Force Chiefs
The Bahraini commander also met Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf at Naval Headquarters.
During the meeting, both sides discussed maritime security and defence cooperation. General Shaikh Mohammad appreciated the Pakistan Navy's efforts in promoting regional maritime security and described it as an important stabilizing force in the region.
Later, he met Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu at Air Headquarters.
The Air Chief highlighted ongoing modernization projects within the Pakistan Air Force, including advanced training systems, infrastructure development, and indigenous defence capabilities.
The two sides also discussed emerging military technologies such as drones, artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, advanced sensors, and modern air defence systems.
The Bahraini commander praised Pakistan's efforts to modernize its armed forces and develop indigenous defence technologies.
Lebanon Army Chief Visits Pakistan
In a separate development, Lebanese Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief General Rodolphe Haykal also met Field Marshal Asim Munir at GHQ.
Upon his arrival, General Haykal was presented with a guard of honour by a tri-services contingent of the Pakistan Armed Forces.
The meeting focused on regional security, defence cooperation, military training, and strengthening ties between the armed forces of Pakistan and Lebanon.
Field Marshal Munir reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to enhancing defence relations with Lebanon and expanding professional cooperation between the two militaries.
General Haykal praised the professionalism and operational excellence of Pakistan's Armed Forces and acknowledged their contributions to regional peace, stability, and international peacekeeping missions.
Strengthening International Defence Partnerships
The visits by the Bahraini and Lebanese military leaders reflect Pakistan's growing defence cooperation with friendly countries in the Middle East. Officials believe these engagements will help strengthen military partnerships, improve training cooperation, and contribute to regional security and stability.
