Sialkot Stallions owner Hamza Majeed has rejected the recent rumors about the team facing financial problems. He said that OZ Group is financially strong and can easily manage the franchise expenses for the next 10 years. He also confirmed that the team has already paid this season’s fee to the Pakistan Cricket Board and has the ability to pay franchise fees for the next three editions as well.
Hamza Majeed explained that the management was only trying to bring in new investors as co-owners to make the franchise stronger. He said they were previously in talks with Alpha Sports Group from Australia and the USA, but the deal could not happen. Now, discussions are ongoing with CD Ventures, and there is a chance that the company will be announced as a co-owner in the coming days.
He also strongly denied bankruptcy rumors and said the franchise is completely stable. Hamza Majeed added that the management will find out who spread this false news and take action. He asked fans to stay calm and trust the team as the Stallions continue to grow.
