Pindi in the House! Rawalpindi Enters PSL 11

On 9 February 2026, the auction for the Multan Sultans franchise was held, and it turned out to be a historic day for the Pakistan Super League. The bidding went extremely high, and Walee Tech bought the team for Rs 245 crore, making it the most expensive team in the history of the PSL.

After the purchase, the new owners surprised everyone by changing the team’s name to Rawalpindi. With this decision, Rawalpindi is officially in the house for PSL 11.

Earlier this season, the PSL expanded with the addition of two new teams — Sialkot and Hyderabad, increasing excitement around the league. Before this auction, Hyderabad was the most expensive franchise, sold earlier this season for Rs 182 crore. Rawalpindi has now gone past that mark by a big margin.

Earlier this month, former owner Ali Tareen gave hope to Multan fans by saying he wanted to buy his team back. However, when the auction took place, he did not make a single bid, which came as a big surprise for many supporters.

With this record-breaking deal, the Multan Sultans era has officially ended, and a new chapter begins with Rawalpindi. Fans are now eagerly waiting to see how the most expensive team in PSL history performs in PSL Edition 11. 🔥🏏
