CD Ventures Buys 98% Shares of Sialkot Stallions

The new PSL franchise Sialkot Stallions has seen a major ownership change before the season. The team was initially purchased by OZ Group for around PKR 182 crore, creating excitement among fans.

The new PSL team Sialkot Stallions has gone through a big ownership change. The franchise was first bought by OZ Group for about PKR 182 crore. Soon after buying the team, they made a big move by signing Australian star Steve Smith for PKR 14 crore, which created excitement among fans.

Later, OZ Group tried to sell some shares of the team. Two partners showed interest and joined talks, but both deals stopped midway, creating uncertainty about the franchise’s future. This made fans curious about who would finally take control of the team.

Now, the latest news is that Gohar from CD Ventures has bought 98% shares of the franchise. OZ Group currently holds only 2% and the team name rights. According to rules of the Pakistan Super League and Pakistan Cricket Board, a franchise cannot sell 100% ownership immediately after buying it. Because of this, the remaining 2% shares are expected to be sold to CD Ventures after one year.

Fans will now hope that despite these off-field changes, the team stays focused and performs strongly in the upcoming PSL season.
